A collaborative visual and audio project featuring 6 artists
Felicity Groom invites the seer to find the Coven in the streets of Fremantle/Walyalup. A collaborative visual and audio project of six individual artist/witches who draw on the elements and stand as a collective in imagery. We invite inquiring minds that revel in and around the wind, water, fire, earth, spirit and void to follow the map these women inhabit. Listen to their song and spell via the QR codes on the posters.
Those who say they know there is all there is to know, know the least.
Guided Tour
On the night of the full moon, join the witches for a tour as we sing and partake in rituals to create a larger coven that unites the participant and brings magic to a moment shared.
We will meet in the town hall for a brief sing along and then close our coven and journey in a circle, visiting the artwork of each witch and listening to their poem and spells as we walk. There will be key performances and place-making moments guided by some of the witches (Lucky Lee, Tara John, Joni Hogan, Della Rae Morrison and Felicity Groom) as we walk. We will have the opportunity to burn what we wish to let go of on pieces of paper and welcome in the new in our fire pit. You may also like to participate in singing from our songbooks with the Fremantle Women’s Choir on our walk with some songs written specifically for the work.
