Deep Winter
Deep Winter is a season full of dark nights when shining stars contrast with the black and blue sky. It is a time of deep sleep, hibernation, shadows, spirits, dreaming, nocturnal animals, glow, cold, fire, short days, stories, folklore, rain, storms and regrowth.
Deep Winter is a visual arts exhibition and installation created by leading West Australian visual artists – Katrina Barber, Greg Barr, Mathew Clarke, Jane Ryan and Amanda White. All lead artists experience intellectual disability and use multidisciplinary practices in the creation of their works.
The exhibition evolves out of collaborative workshops that enable each artist to create art works through industry mentorships. This unmissable exhibition presents and highlights skills and voices from of a diverse collection of WA artists.
