Future Treasures: Workshops
Future Treasures is a hands-on workshop series designed for aspiring young musicians who are ready to take the next step in their musical journey.
Across four interactive sessions, participants will gain practical insights into the music industry—from releasing original music and recording in a professional studio to performing live and connecting with industry bookers. Led by experienced artists and music professionals, Future Treasures provides a supportive environment where young musicians can build confidence, develop industry knowledge, and create meaningful connections that will help shape their future in music.

Getting Your Music Out There + Building Your Team

How do emerging artists release music and build momentum? In this session, three leading artists share real-world strategies for launching a song, building an audience, and developing the team you need to support your career. Students will explore whether it’s possible to do it alone—and what roles collaborators play in bringing music to life.

Studio Session with Rada Studios

Presenter: Dan Carroll
Step inside a working recording studio with musician and producer Dan Carroll. This hands-on session explores studio etiquette, preparation before booking, and the recording process. Students will also gain insight into different recording approaches and have the opportunity to explore studio equipment in a professional environment.

Open Mic Night (WAM Special Guest Speaker 4:00–4:30pm)

Ever wanted to try an open mic but felt too young? This special event gives students the chance to perform in a supportive live setting. The afternoon begins with a guest speaker from WAM, followed by a workshop on preparing for open mic performance—including what to bring, how to register, and performance etiquette. Students will then take part in a 30-minute open mic set, with friends and family welcome to attend.

How do you get booked for gigs? In this fast-paced networking session, students rotate through conversations with live music bookers and industry professionals. It’s a practical introduction to how gigs are secured, what venues are looking for, and how to make a strong impression as an emerging artist.
