Choreographer – Kimberley Parkin: Kimberley (She/Her) is a Boorloo based dance maker, independent producer, dance educator and the driving force behind the project-based company Parkin Projects. She first established her strengths in choreography with the acclaimed dance and live rock music production Cry Baby at The Rechabite in 2021. The show garnered four Performing Arts WA nominations and secured touring at Sydney Dance Company’s INDance 2023. Killjoy, her subsequent creation, was developed and presented through STRUT’s SEED Residencies, GROUNDWORKS, and Co3’s IN.HOUSE season between 2022 to 2023. Kimberley is the first artist to engage in all of Co3 Contemporary Dances annual pathways programs; IN.STUDIO, IN.HOUSE and IN.RESIDENCE between 2023 to 2025. In September 2025 Kimberley was commissioned by Co3 to create a short dance work called Tri-Hard in their 10th celebration event at The Liberty Theatre. In 2023, Kimberley co-created ‘Resurgence’, a mass community dance-rock fusion event, for Junction Arts Festival 2023. Kimberley was the 2024 recipient of the WAAPA’s Allen’s Professional Mentorship Program, where she acted as rehearsal director for LINK Dance’s site-specific work, The Dance History Project. She has performed professionally through FRINGE WORLD FESTIVAL Perth, Monkey Brain Theatre, STRUT Dance, Fremantle Biennale at WA Museum Boola Bardip and The Stephanie Lake Company. She has co-created two short dance films – Talons and Mercury Bones. Talons was featured in Revelations Film Festival in 2021. She recurringly connects with community and young generations by teaching in schools and touring to reginal towns through Western Australian Ballet and Co3 Contemporary Dance.
