Kaal Koort-ak – Fire in the Heart

Walyalup Koort glows at the launch of 10 Nights in Port for 2022 and everyone is invited to come to the fire and be warm together. A Welcome to Country by Walyalup Elders begins the night and unfolds to feature performers and projects from the festival program.

Celebrating the beginning of Djilba, an epic sand mural, featuring ‘djilba flowers’ created by local primary school students, connects our stories while we keep warm together and light the night.

Our beautiful Walyalup Koort will be transformed by awesome projections, Kaarla Kaditjin dancers, drums and epic fire art as we blaze into the festival season.
